Does it work for Joomla language files?
Yes. A Joomla .ini file goes in with its COM_ and MOD_ keys and comes back with the same keys, the same quoting and the translated values. Joomla's older "_QQ_" quote escape is kept when the line already used it.
Can I translate an Inno Setup .isl file?
Yes. The [Messages] and [CustomMessages] sections are read as strings. Values without quotes are written literally, because in Inno Setup a quote would become part of the text.
My file is not UTF-8. What happens?
It is refused rather than converted. Inno Setup files are often saved as Windows-1252, and writing them back would replace every accent with a wrong character, so save the file as UTF-8 and upload it again.
Can a value run over several lines?
No, an INI value is one line. If a translation needs a line break, it becomes a space, and a key repeated in one section is written at every occurrence.
Is it safe to upload a INI file to an online translator?
AI Glot keeps the file only as long as the translation needs it. The download link expires after an hour. The file is deleted afterwards. Nothing you upload is used to train any model. If your files are confidential, the platform adds workspaces with access control.
